"The Smelly Gourmet" is located in Metamora, IN, an 1838 Canal Town. The Smelly Gourmet is a tourist favorite spot because we (Steve "Smelly" and Brenda) go out of our way to make sure that every visitor has a fun time in our store. We are known for being the most unique and unusual gift shop due to our personalized gifts, "Smellys" unusual geek gifts and magnets, Brendas luxurious hand made Bath and Body products, our family grown popcorn and a true European Coffee Bar! Many of our products can't be found anywhere else on the planet! Located on main street in the beautiful Historic Jonathan Banes House built in 1845.
An eclectic collection of hand-made creamy luxurious bath and body creams and lotions made by Brenda, along with unusual and original wood and glass items by Steve and top it off with the unbelieveable family hulless popcorn.
Stop in our store and say "Hi" to the "Smelly People".
You'll find Steve and Brenda on Tuesday through Sunday at our retail store "The Smelly Gourmet" located at 19060 Main Street Metamora, IN 47030. Our store hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but many times you'll find us there beyond these hours. See hour schedule below.
Our retail store is called the "Smelly Gourmet" because of our "smelly" bath and body products and our "gourmet" coffee bar which we pride ourselves on serving the best cappuccino on this side of the Atlantic and our family grown gourmet popcorn. |

Stop in and savor one of Steve's famous cappuccino's! He'll tell you that he makes the best cappuccino this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Steve lived in various areas of Italy for 7 years. While living in Napoli (Naples) Italy, he learned his barista skills from the best, "Tonino" the owner of the "Delfino Verde" Trattoria (Green Dolphin). Since leaving Italy he has always wanted to educate Americans on the true taste of a European Coffee.
This is no franchise coffee bar like Starbucks, where the barista is a teenager that hates coffee and the beans have a burnt taste! The "Smelly Gourmet" uses a special blend dark roast bean. These beans are roasted every Tuesday and delivered to us on Wednesday's by the nationally famous roaster, Carl Jones from the Phoenix MicroRoastery in Cleveland, Ohio. The beans are ground as used to give you the freshest, best tasting drinks available. |
