| The clocks we make for you are each designed individually around your photograph, cropping where necessary and color enhanced if needed, your message artfully designed and arranged in an attractive font to unite the overall design, then a picture of the design is sent to you for prior approval. If you have questions, we will telephone you to discuss. After you approve, the clock face is printed and mounted on a fine lacquered walnut or oak wood base lovingly hand-crafted in our shop. We use a quartz movement and the battery is included. Our clocks look best as a desk clock as shown in the example photos, but each can be equipped with a wall-hanging device at no extra charge if you desire. |

WHAT YOU DO
- Select your favorite photograph or photographs (yes, we can put many photographs on a single clock face). E-mail your photo(s) to Steve Collier (stevecollier1@comcast.net) if you have the pictures on your computer, or if not, send them to us by snail mail (Smelly Gourmet, PO Box 58, Metamora, IN, 47030), we will scan them and return the original to you in the same condition it was sent to us.

Determine what text you would like on the clock face. It should be short - names, dates, short phrases, etc., because too much text may get difficult to read. E-mail the text either with the picture(s) or separately.

If you have a particular color scheme or font style in mind for the clock face (example, you intend the clock to go in a “blue” room, or you prefer a handwritten informal font face instead of block letters ), you can tell us that too, but we’d rather you left those choices up to our design team so they can be matched to the theme of your photograph. (Don’t worry, you’ll see in a moment that you get to see and approve the final design before we finish and ship it to you.) Specify if you want a wall hanger on the clock, otherwise it will be made as a desk clock.
WHAT WE DO
- We take your photos and digitize them (if they are not already digitized) and create the clock face image, working carefully to arrange the photos around the center of the clock so no important info in the photo is lost. We crop the images where necessary, color correcting and red-eye removal if necessary, create background images where necessary, and in the text and, design the clock face. If we have any questions, we'll telephone you at our expense to clarify the issue (as long as you have provided your phone number.)
- When we are happy with the design, we e-mail a picture of the final design to you for your approval. We are human and have been known to make a typo occasionally, so we get you to proof the image carefully.
- Once we receive your approval (by e-mail or a phone call), we print the clock face directly on a special printable compact disk clock face. Then we seal the image with a layer of laquer to make it permanent, even if liquid should some how get spilled on the face. The clock face is assembled to one of our clock bases. The wood we use depends on what we have available and made up- it will be either walnut, red oak, white oak or maple. If you have requested the clock to made for hanging on a wall, we add a hanger to the clock motor installation.
- We package carefully and ship the completed clock to whereever you have told us to ship to. We use USPS Priority Mail.
