Q: I'm nervous about shopping on the web.  Why should I trust you?

A: We have a secure server to protect your information, and utilize a secure payment processor.  We also do not sell any information you provide.  We also own an actual brick and mortor store called "The Smelly Gourmet," so were not just one of those drop ship websites.  We provide you with our address and phone number up front.  You can call us anytime with questions.  We strive to keep our customers happy,so we don't want to do anything to hinder this.

Q: What are your store hours?

A: We are open May - December.

Open Fri., Sat. 10:04 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sun. 12:04 - 4 p.m.
Christmas Walk: Open Fri., Sat. - 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. Sun. 12:04 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Closed most weekends from the end of Christmas Walk until May.

Q: How long will it take for my order to arrive?

A: Normally you will receive your order within 7 to 10 business days.  During high shipping times (holidays) we cannot be responsible for the shipping company taking longer.  If you are ordering our Crema Fiore Bath and Body Products it may take longer according to the products you order.  All Crema Fiore Products are made on order.

Q: What are your shipping costs?

A: You can view an estimate of shipping costs by viewing your cart. However, final shipping costs will be displayed on the Invoice you see before confirming your order.

Q: Where did the name "The Smelly Gourmet" come from?

A: When naming our retail store we wanted to stand out but also use a name that described us. Since we make our own Bath and Body products (smelly) and we have an European Coffee Bar (gourmet) we decided to put them together and "The Smelly Gourmet" was born.

Store Policies

ORDER PROCESSING:Most orders will be processed within 48 hours. We ship packages on Monday - Friday. Sometimes there will be a delay, for instance: Bath and Body products may take a few days to prepare or clocks that need to be built. If it would be a delay longer than 72 hours we would notify you.

SHIPPING: Please be aware that we don't have any control over your local UPS or USPS carrier as far as leaving a package without someone being their to accept it. Some carriers will leave packages and some will not. Due to the fact that if they leave the package and you claim to not have received it, then they would be responsible. If you know there will not be anyone there to accept the package, choose an alternative shipping location where someone can accept it.

Please keep in mind during busy holiday's (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas) that the shipping companies are very busy and your delivery time might be delayed. We have not control over this. There is always the possibility that an item you order is out of stock. If this is the case we will contact you.

We do this by offering our customers a variety of unique, unusual, quality gift products and by taking care of our customers ONE CUSTOMER AT A TIME. If you want to return an item you purchased simply notify us within 10 days and return the item to The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop for a full refund of the product less shipping and handling. (Due to the nature of our Bath and Body Product we cannot accept returns because we could no longer assure purity of the product).

The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop can not guarantee that all items are available at all times. Sometimes items may be out of stock or on backorder. It this occurs you will be notified. If ordering a product you are agreeing to pay the price that is listed on the product page. The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop seeks the best value which takes into account price as well as quality. We believe we offer the best quality for the lowest possible price. However, quality is subjective and viewed differently by each person. What appears to be a flaw to one person may be viewed as a natural mark of beauty to another. The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop makes a supreme effort to see that your orders are shipped correctly and that they reach you safely. Every order placed with The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop is double-checked for accuracy. For your maximum protection, every order shipped is fully insured against loss, pilferage and damage. On each UPS shipment, a PIN (Package Identification Number) is included that makes tracing of lost shipments easy as fast. The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop orders are packed with styrofoam pellets as cushioning material. These pellets are much more costly than shredded newsprint which is commonly used. The pellets do not compact, and therefore offer more protection. They are much lighter than shredded paper thereby saving you shipping costs. Despite all of these precautions, problems do arise. The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop's adjustment and return policy is truly very simple. We want to protect you and make you feel comfortable and make certain you get what you pay for. We have established some requirements to make our policies and programs workable.

  • LOST ORDERS - It doesn't happen often, but carriers such as UPS do lose orders. If you have placed an order and have not received it in a reasonable period, do the following: Contact The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop via phone or e-mail. Please have the following information ready. a: Your name.  b: If a partial order was delivered and the invoice is included in one of the delivered cartons, please have this invoice available and a list of the missing items. Provide the number of cartons received. The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop will check our computer to find the date your order was shipped. The Smelly Gourmet will initiate a tracer with the carrier. Normally a response is received within 10 working days after the tracer is initiated. Most carriers require a 10-day waiting period before they will accept a tracer request.  Usually when a order is not received it is due to the follow reasons: 1: UPS made three attempts at delivery to you and no one was home. 2: Your delivery address is a Post Office Box. UPS does not deliver to a Post Office Box. They notify you, but if no response is made within seven days, the package is returned to The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop. 3: You have moved and your order was sent to your former address. The package may have been retained by someone who signed for the package at your old address, or the shipment was returned to The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop. If your order is not located The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop will either reship the item(s) or refund you your money. The Smelly Gourmet Gift Shop holds no responsibility for any package once UPS has delivered it.

  • BATH AND BODY PRODUCTS - All sales are final on our Bath and Body Products. As with any product, discontinue use if irritation occurs. All Occasion can not be held responsible for any reactions due to our bath and body products. Product are not made for human consumption.
